Litter
Sapcote Parish Council takes the cleanliness of the village very seriously and employs a village monitor on a part time basis to keep the village as litter free as possible.
We are aware that a litter strewn environment will encourage more littering thus adversely affecting the quality of our surroundings.
In order to ensure that we as a Parish have an input to all aspects of the quality of our environment, the Parish Council attends Blaby District Council's half yearly Open Spaces meeting. This deals with waste collection and recycling; fly tipping, fly posting, graffiti, abandoned cars, grass cutting on verges and the maintenance of public footpaths. At this meeting we represent the views of the Parish Council and members of the public to ensure that we maintain as pleasant as environment as possible for the benefit of the village and its inhabitants.
