Sapcote Recreation Ground

The Sapcote Recreation Ground is a non-profit making registered charity. Sapcote Parish Council became the Sole Custodian Trustee on 01.11.2023 and is now responsible for the upkeep and management of all buildings and facilities within the recreation ground. Buildings comprise a pavilion, changing rooms, and equipment stores, plus football, cricket and croquet pitches. Children's play equipment is also sited on the recreation ground.

The modern pavilion contains a hall suitable for large meetings, parties and functions served by a kitchen and toilets with adjoining stores supplying tables and chairs. The changing room block, has facilities for both home and away teams and for match officials. There is also ample storage provision for football, cricket and croquet equipment as well as grounds maintenance machinery.

The Trust levies hire fees for all league sports teams using its pitches, changing and shower facilities, as well as levying charges for the hire of the pavilion. The proceeds from these charges are used to maintain and improve the grounds, buildings, facilities and equipment as well as for other charitable purposes as defined in the charity's governing document.
